Happy H{ippity}Hop - January 17, 2011

I made this card for my personal "Magazine Monday Challenge."  The inspiration for this card can be found in the January/February 2011 (yes, the current issue) of Paper Crafts magazine (p. 62).  Kalyn Kepner designed the card, "Lifetime of Love."
Paper:  Kraft, Echo Park, October Afternoon
Images/Sentiment:  Now & Always
Ink:  Palette Burnt Umber
Misc: scrap ribbon, Bazzill pearl brads, MS punch

This card is for {ippity}'s January Challenge - Week 2.  Check out this week's challenge, here.  I used the first week's sketch and last week's colors to create this card.  I thought my brain was going to explode!

Welcome 2011!!

Last week's Happy H{ippity} Hop Challenge was to create a project for the New Year (details here).  I combined this challenge with SCS's Inspiration Challenge (details here).  I used 2 {ippity} stamps for this card, Gurnsey Gingham and "welcome" from House a Home.  The papers are simply scrap.  One of my resolutions for 2011, use up the paper I've been hoarding ( I have a feeling this will be added to my long list of broken resolutions).

 "Magazine Mondays"
Kelly (AKA: ScrappinCEO on SCS) started a "Stamp 2 Spend" thread.  The idea for every project you make, you "pay" yourself to justify how much we spend on supplies (adhesive doesn't count) and to encourage ourselves to use the "stash" first.  She also came up with the brilliant idea of  posting "Magazine Mondays" on her blog.  Make one project inspired from one of your magazines.  This is my "Magazine Monday" project; it is from Paper Crafts Magazine January/February 2009.  Angie Tieman's "There is Only One Happiness Card found on pg. 45.   (This project was used with hoarded paper.)
