Welcome 2011!!

Last week's Happy H{ippity} Hop Challenge was to create a project for the New Year (details here).  I combined this challenge with SCS's Inspiration Challenge (details here).  I used 2 {ippity} stamps for this card, Gurnsey Gingham and "welcome" from House a Home.  The papers are simply scrap.  One of my resolutions for 2011, use up the paper I've been hoarding ( I have a feeling this will be added to my long list of broken resolutions).

 "Magazine Mondays"
Kelly (AKA: ScrappinCEO on SCS) started a "Stamp 2 Spend" thread.  The idea for every project you make, you "pay" yourself to justify how much we spend on supplies (adhesive doesn't count) and to encourage ourselves to use the "stash" first.  She also came up with the brilliant idea of  posting "Magazine Mondays" on her blog.  Make one project inspired from one of your magazines.  This is my "Magazine Monday" project; it is from Paper Crafts Magazine January/February 2009.  Angie Tieman's "There is Only One Happiness Card found on pg. 45.   (This project was used with hoarded paper.)

  9. Pretty cards Monica! I like the paper blocking you did on your first card. The gingham stamp was perfect for this project.

  13. I wanna "pay" myself - what a good concept!! I love your cards and after organizing over the Christmas break I am so ready to use some of my newfound treasures (I even made a rare trip to St. Louis and only spent $10.00 at Archiver's I am very proud of myself!!)
